ROCK:HYC
Events provide opportunities for a wide range of bands to get
themselves heard! When booking gigs we try to include bigger
out of town bands, whilst at the same time providing
opportunities for local bands starting off and everyone in
between!
"Just
dropping by to say it was great playing last week, had a
brilliant time and it looked like an awesome turnout" (TTL).
How
it works:

We treat everyone equally from opener to headliner.

We will send you flyers, posters and a schedule by post so
that you are fully informed.

We will provide you with food and water to keep you going.
-
Our budget is tight but we will help cover your travel
expenses - it doesn't matter if you play first or last.

To make your life easier and to allow us to provide more bands
with the opportunity to play we will provide a full Backline
and PA Including;-
2
x 4x12" Guitar Cabs with Marshall MGFX100 Heads
1
x 4x10" Bass Cab with Behringer Head
Sonor
SE505 Drum Kit
Plus
plenty of Microphones, DI Boxes + Cables

We will provide a Live Recording of your set which you can use
as you wish (note this is on a best efforts basis and should
not be relied on, live sound takes priority).

We will actually promote the event - it's not all down to you,
but we do need you to help.

ROCK:HYC events are alcohol free and for 13-17's

Our staff are Volunteers, and part of what we do is about
developing the skills of our Volunteers in running the events.
What
we need from you:
-
To fill out your details in our database (Click Add Bands at
the top of the page) - this will allow us to send you the
information you need, and a cheque for your expenses after the
event.

Details of any dietary requirements or allergies - we don't
want to make you ill.
-
Your main contact (the most organized person in your band) to
relay all the information we send you to everyone in the band
(check family birthdays, holidays etc before confirming etc).

Help promoting the event to your fan base - we don't agree
with pay to play but we do appreciate your help in promoting
the event to your friends - that way all the bands get the
advantage getting their music out to a new audience!

A tech rider in advance so that we can make sure you have
everything you need, and that we can meet the tight changeover
times.

A willingness to use our backline and skeleton kit (please
feel free to bring your own Heads, Breakables and specialist
kit, or use ours if you prefer).

A list of everyone in your band, and details of any sound tech
or additional crew.
-
Names for your £2.50 guest list emailed to us before the show
(sorry, we're not able to provide free entry for girlfriends /
boyfriends / groupies etc).

Honest feedback after the event on how we can improve what we
do to innovate.
